You and your family are in my prayers as well.
When our parents are in bad health, sometimes it is a relief for them and for us when they finally pass. After watching my mother get worse and worse, I know when I got the call that she was gone, my first reaction was relief. I still think about showing or telling her something, then I remember that she is not here. There is sadness, but I know she is with the rest of her family and happy now. Just keep in mind that the pain is gone, and he is at his favorite spot enjoying himself.
