Thoughtful

I have been remarkably lucky. While my grandparents died when I was fairly young (one before I was born), and I've had a couple of friends and acqaintances (and much loved pets) die, my life has mostly gone on pretty smoothly from that point of view.

I have friends who are a couple who had two children. They are a loving couple, great, doting parents, who are adventurous, really involved . . . great. And a little over a year ago they lost one of their daughters. It was sudden, unexpected, and horrifying. And there is absolutely nothing I can do to ease their pain.

I really wish there was.

Unfortunately the only thing you can do Cie is be there for them. Reminensce (sp?) with them when they talk about their daughter, offer a shoulder to cry on, help prop them up when they need it.

The very fact that you wish you could help them says a great deal about you, and you're to be commended for feeling this way.

From experience, nothing is worse than losing a child. Having friends who care and show it gives the grief an outlet. You're right Tammy that talking about their feelings and circumstances do in most cases give relief.
You are a good friend to this couple Cie. Let them talk, cry with them and hug them.
