Hola, que tal?

Hi guys! How's it going? Jim -- hope your Dad's surgery went OK.

Cathy and I/Me and Cathy (grin) are so seriously lucky! I'm amazed at how supportive our editor and the folks at Tor and Writer's House are. We actually get input on things, such as our cover, the marketing plan, etc. From what I'm hearing from other authors that's REALLY rare. And I am SOOOOOO glad. Because honestly, if we had the traditional "orgasmic clinch" cover, do you really think the guys and the gamers would go buy the book? Not so much. And I think our books ARE good reads for guys. There's lots of action. Yes, there's some romance, and some sex -- but that's part of real life, so it needs to be there, and I don't think it's overpowering. Our goal is to have romance for the romance readers out there, action for the action folks, and ... well. just a helluva good read for everybody.

So, let's all give a big cheer for the folks at Tor and Writer's House. WHOO HOOO!!!!

THANKS GUYS!

Cie

Hi Cie,
I agree with you regarding your comments on what the Sazi series target audiences could be. I think you will be getting more "guy" perspectives soon (from friends of mine and fellow site members who are guys that are reading your book now or will be soon). My Dad's surgery isn't for a few more weeks yet, he is doing preadmissions testing now. My car is still in the shop, I hope to get it back soon. I am very busy this week with work and the website (I caught a cold on top of it), but I'm going to Mardi Gras next week so that will be cool!

Cie,
Question for you: will you be doing a book signing at the Waldenbooks again for "Moon's Web?" I ask, because I need to order like 7 copies of that (for Christmas gifts), yeah, I'm thinking Christmas already, I already got two gifts for people for Christmas 2005, ha, ha.

WOW you really think in advance! I'll have to check with Cathy - we haven't scheduled any yet. But I'd bet we will be!

What's up with the car? Sucks to have it break down in winter when the weather is icky. No wonder you caught a cold. Mardi Gras, however, should be a "wonder drug" and make you feel better. :)

Keep me advised on your Dad.

Hey Cie!

Hi Jim!

I think it IS great that TOR gives you guys input into the covers and other important things! And that your books are targetted to anyone who wants a good read with a terrific combination of stuff, is also VERY true! I hope you get heaps of guys reading the SAZI series...

Have a GOOD one!

See Ya,
Yolanda... :)

Hi Cie,
Thay had my car all week, and they still don't know what's wrong with it, but I told them I will pick it up tomorrow, they said they can't find anything wrong with it and now it's starting up just fine (maybe it's mad at me, ha, ha). I'll keeep you posted on my Dad. Yeah, that is cool they let you have input on the book covers. I think a book cover helps sell some books, as if I see a cool cover, i always pick up the book and read the back cover or inside sleeve to se what the book is about. I have bought a lot of books that way.
