Yet Another Monday

Just another manic Monday....

Today is a court day for my boss, so things were a little frantic for a few minutes there. It's better now, but I still have lots to do. So I can't dawdle. This is just a quick note so I can catch my breath!

Sazi books are coming along nicely. It's good to have Cathy and I talking the same world. Makes both of us less grumpy and the whole process run much more smoothly. I'll have to get back to the unfinished projects (i.e., the mystery, the fantasy, and so very many more...) eventually, but I figure we'll finish the ones we've been paid to do first. THEN I get to go play in the other worlds.

I'm looking forward to getting a little quiet time together to actually READ. Soon, very soon. I keep promising myself that, and life keeps interfering. There are only so many hours in the day, and I have a limited supply of energy. Sometimes I get down on myself about it, but then I remind myself how much better I'm doing than I used to be. There was a time not so long ago when I couldn't work full time, could barely work at all and the house and everything else went basically down the toilet. Now I work full time AND write AND keep the house (relatively) ok (not perfect, but -- again, limited time, have to prioritize) AND exercise. So I don't get it all RIGHT NOW. I'm getting more than I would've dreamed possible. So I remind myself over and over again to BE GRATEFUL.

Which I am. Really!

Hope everyone's weekend was good, mine was a drag! My car is in the shop right now. We had a 12 inch snowstorm on Friday/Saturday. Some personal stuff, like my Dad's having surgery and other stuff. I am leaving for Mardi Gras next week, so that will be good. Cie, what happened with the "court" thing you mentioned? I know what you mean about "free" time. Glad the Sazi world is going good! I very much enjoyed reading "Hunter's Moon." Lots of twists and turns, it kept you guessing, fun read, kept you hanging and wondering what's next.

Hi Jim! Glad you liked it! Sorry about the car and the weather, but hey, Mardi Gras should be great! Glad you got your cakes. Hope your Dad is OK! Keep me advised.

In my "real" life (i.e., what pays the bills until we "make the big time" and gives me health insurance benefits) I'm a legal secretary. SO, we had lots of files to get ready for my boss to take over to the courthouse. My boss is a really great guy, but court sometimes gets a little stressful when you have a bunch of cases going at once.

ANYWAY, I'm happy. Algonquin is (FINALLY) happy. (She was really weird and lonely after Onyx died. Kept making messes and acting out. We got her company, and she was really grumpy about it at first, but now she thinks "the boys" are great and she's not misbehaving any more.) James is happy most of the time, so things really are great here right now! Hope they get that way for you again soon too!

I know exactly what you mean about not enough hours in the day! Most of the time it slips away too quickly and you find yourself exhausted at the end of it...

I hope you find a little quiet time for yourself soon, it's always nice to re-energise with a little of that. Especially with reading, it's so relaxing huh?

Good to see you're back in the Sazi world again!

Have a good one!

PS. Sorry to hear about your dad's surgery and the car Jim! Hope it all works out alright and that you have a great time at Mardi Gras!
