Happy Holidays

Greetings and happy holidays. It's been a tough year for nearly everyone I know for some reason or another. Still, life is very, very good. I got all the packages packed. They're shipping today. They may or may not arrive in time for Christmas, but I just couldn't manage it any faster. I'd HOPED that our author copies of the books would arrive so I could send some to people with the Christmas stuff, but they haven't, so I can't. Ah well. Still, it is frustrating.

It felt really good to be writing yesterday. I've been having a hard time getting into the groove. I think a big chunk of it is physical exhaustion, and another chunk is depression over losing Onyx. But every day it gets a little better.

Currently listening to a CD of Christmas music by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Lots of electric guitar. I'm not good with traditional Christmas music, but this actually does it for me.

Best wishes to everyone.

Hi Jim! Hope you enjoy your trip and spend lots of time on the beach, by the pool, or wherever relaxing with a REALLY good book (wink). Seriously, have a happy and safe holiday. Hope you enjoy yourself immensely.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND CATHY, CIE!

I hope you both have a wonderful time during this season...

I think it's fantastic that you wrote yesterday even though it's hard to find your groove at the moment. It's hard when someone you care about is gone, hard to get into that frame of mind to write. I felt this way a few months ago when someone I used to work with (only 20-years-old) was hit by a car and ended up on life support. A few days later, she passed away. It was a really hard time for me, because we used to work together on many weekends and had a great time chatting and laughing. She was so young, and had so much to live with... but one day she was here and the next she was gone. I found it a little hard to write around that time. I still think about her a lot, but it does get a little easier as time passes by.

Anyway, enough of the sad stuff already!

Gotta agree with the traditional X-Mas music, I'm forced to listen to it at work and I feel like falling asleep!

See Ya,
Yolanda... :)

Hi Yolanda --

I've been thinking (always dangerous ;)). I want to figure out how to get you an autograph for your book. Would you like me to mail you a personalized bookplate that Cathy and I have signed for you? If so, send me your complete address at our business e-mail drop and I'll get it in the mail right away. Consider it a Merry Christmas from a couple of grateful authors.
