HI (waving happily)

Hi guys!

It's Thursday morning, do you know where you muse is? Mine's out there running around. I'm trying to get her to settle down long enough for me to do a little writing. We'll see. At least I woke up with ideas running through my head. (Sound of feet stampeding across hardwood.) I'm actually feeling really happy and goofy, so my thoughts seem to be leaning toward providing sound effects and sarcastic comments. I can SOOO do that.

Listening to Cheryl Crowe and trying to just get "in the zone," awake and capable of coherent thought. But its gloomy and rainy and my mind and body are both saying "don' wanna. Let me SLEEP da** it!"

On The Werewolf Cafe site they were talking about, if you could be a werewolf, what kind would you want to be. They were talking about different movie wolves. But frankly, given a choice, I would SOOOOO be Sazi, which is part of how the world came into being. Sort of a WHAT IF game. What if... shapeshifters really exist? What kind of culture would they have? What rules? Would they stay hidden? Why? And it just kind of goes on from there. The "What if" game gets me a lot of my book ideas.

When I was in high school one of the things I started doing (now remember folks, this was WAY in the dark ages before everybody got all new agey with totem animals, etc. [although the Native Americans were doing that, I was from central Illinois farm country and SO not exposed to that sort of thing.]) I started playing a psychology game I made up in my head (which I believe may already have been in use, but I sure didn't know it. )

If you were an animal instead of a person, what would you be? (Not what would you WANT to be, but what animal really and truly most exemplifies your actual personality.)

OK guys, I'm curious here. If you're willing, play along and post what and why in the comments. If you've been reading the blog steadily you might even make a stab at what I am. Tomorrow I'll write what I think.

Later.

Cie (still waving happily!)

Hi Cie! Hi Yolanda! I beat Yolanda to the post today! Hope all is going good by you both! Hi Cathy, if you're reading this! O.k., Cie, you raise some really interesting things I want to elaborate on: one is that you said you were from Central Illinois and I am assuming it was a rural area, so if there were farms, I am assuming that some Native Indian artifacts turned up in the fields (like they do in Iowa), just to mention the Native Indian peoples, as that was touched on in your post today. Also, being from Central IL, have you ever been to Cahokia? It's the ancient reconstructed Indian village that was the most sophisticated village north of the Aztecs? It's close to St. Louis. Cool stuff. Anyway, on to the question: I am drawn to wolves mostly now, used to be to lions, then tigers (I am a "tiger" on the Chinese zodiac). Obviously, mostly wolves now, ha, ha! O.k., being a cat lover, I am assuming you are drawn to a big cat like lion, tiger, leopard, bobcat or something. If the Sazi series is A LOT of you in it, then I have to say wolves.

Cie,
If you ever want a fun werewolf question posted on The Werewolf Cafe site, let me know and I'll post it for you, it's always more fun when the topics are fun (like werewolf Oscars, ha, ha). Also, I have book questions for you (as I put this off long enough):
1. Are Sue's psycho Mom and Sisters coming back within the next 3 books?
2. Is Sue a Cie character or a Cathy character?
3. I loved the "gift" Sue got.
O.k., I won't say anymore, answer what you can.

Hi Jim -- they get a very brief mention in Moon's Web. Don't know if they'll appear in later Tony books. We'll have to see. It's always possible.

Haven't been to Cahokia, but I am coming to the St. Louis area with Cathy for the RT Conference in the last week of April 1st of May and maybe I can sneak out to see. That sort of thing really does interest me a lot. I'm also hoping that an author from the St. Louis area is going to be able to arrange a trip to the wolf rescue sanctuary for a howling while we're in town for the conference. I love wolves, but I don't think I am one. (James is, no question whatsoever.)

If I recall correctly (I can check with Cathy) Sue was one of the characters that we both came up with through some major discussion.

Hey guys!

Well, I think I'd be a tiger. Not only do I absolutely LOVE tigers, but they're very individual animals that keep mostly to themselves... I think I'd be a tiger. I'm an ox in the Chinese zodiac, but I'm so NOT ox-like or even know much about them!

Love you're questions Cie!

And I agree with Jim, you'd probably be one of the 'cat' Sazi! Are we correct?

Have a GREAT day guys! :)

Sue's crazy family makes for great characters, ha, ha. You would love Cahokia, check it out. Yes, I heard about that wolf sanctuary, cool.
