Whoo hoo. Cie is happy dancing again! We got an e-mail from our editor at Tor that said that our sales rate is *very high.* In fact, the top brass even noticed. When your sales are high enough to impress your New York publisher you get to do the happy dance!
Now, I may be nuts (Aw, who am I kidding, I AM nuts, but MAYBE not about this) but I have this weird idea in my brain that if you impress the big wigs then maybe they'll be REALLY INCLINED to look favorably at your next set of books? Teehee. And that maybe, just maybe, that royalty check in October is going to look REALLY GOOD. (Cie resumes the happy dance).

Hi, I was hanging out with a Friend of mine at the mall last night (the stores are open until 11 pm by me now for the holidays) and I went to Waldenbooks book store and found 3 copies of "Hunter's Moon" on the shelf, too cool! I ordered a bunch of your autographed books from the Waldenbooks you did the signing at (as you know), and I am hoping I'll get them in the mail by tomorrow, so I can give them as Christams presents. I am going on vacation (as you know), so I will be reading the rest of the chapters in nice warm sunny MEXICO, yippeee! I say "yippee," because it is a balmy ZERO degrees here right now (but I'm used to it, scarey thought, ha, ha). Merry Christmas! I'll be off line until Monday!
Jim
Ahem.... (Cie takes a deep breath)
WE wish you a Merry Christmas
We WISH you a Merry Christmas
We wish YOU a Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year.
Enjoy reading on the beach.
Enjoy reading in the hotel.
Enjoy reading in the sunshine.
(Then back to the cold.)
Happy Holidays Jim -- Enjoy your trip! Hope you enjoy the book too. :D
And thanks for joining me at my party!!!!
Cie
WOW! That's terrific Cie - CONGRATULATIONS on such a great achievement! I guess now we should be able to delve deep, deep and deeper into reading your books - YAY! Can't wait...
Oh, and I am about 100 pages into HUNTER'S MOON and am absolutely LOVING it! It's brilliantly written and the storyline/characters are so intriguing I wasn't impressed when I had to go to work last night, instead of being able to stay home for the night and read some more. You know, if there wasn't an every-day-life, I could finish this book in one sitting... very easily!
Anyway, keep on doing the HAPPY DANCE, you deserve it!
See Ya,
Yolanda... :)
PS. MERRY X-MAS! ;)
Oh Jim,
I hope you have a TERRIFIC vacation full of sun and whole lot of fun! You'll probably be getting more sun than we will here in Sydney - and it's supposed to be SUMMER!
Have fun & have a GREAT X-MAS!
See Ya,
Yolanda...
