I GET to be happy!

I would LOVE for everybody to be having the kind of wonderful luck Cathy and I are. I know it probably isn't going to happen. But I would LOVE it. But there were times when things were really going well for others in my life and my life well... um.... shall we say "sucked big scum covered pond rocks?" I am so incredibly excited about the good things going on with regard to the writing! I mean, I've been putting together stories since I was what.... six? We didn't get our first book published until 2002. That's quite the wait. So I want to dance on the clouds a little. I'm so happy it almost doesn't seem possible that this is all real. Unfortunately, there are a lot of folks who are having a hard time now. I don't want to be tacky, or rub people's noses in it, but I really want to ENJOY the good times (they're always so damned fleeting). Have you ever tried to "celebrate quietly?" Doesn't work. SO, I am hereby nominating those of you who read this post fellow partygoers. Please put on your virtual paper hat and get out your kazoo while I flip on the stereo and crank it up. Somebody get the glasses. Somebody else pop the virtual champagne.

Any suggestions as to tunes? Right now I've got Kiss "Smashes, Thrashes and Hits" but I'm open to suggestions.

Cie

Have moved on to a punk CD my son made for me with my favorite songs from several different bands. Not Christmasy, but definitely lively and making me happy!

Looking for music suggestions..... until then AC/DC

Hey - I'm here. I've brought a box of chocolate and my standard dip for the chips and veggies. Oh, and I pulled out my old Motley Crue tape for you (sorry, don't have it on CD)- I know you like the hard stuff so I had a little trouble. I brought Puddle of Mudd too though in case that is too old skool for you.

Pour me a glass of champagne quick.

Hey Kiddo! Glad you could make it! Pass me that dip. Let's see... I haven't heard the Crue in a while, but I'm more than willing to try the other as well (and no I haven't heard of it). Which is your pleasure?

Can you stand Dixieland? You can count me as one of your friends whose life is going well at the moment. (Joan) I'm glad yours is going so well. I have nearly a whole crockpot of cocktail weiners left over from a Christmas party where two others brought the same thing... And some smoked salmon somewhere.

Cool -- it's lunchtime. FOOD GOOD! Holly happy days. Glad your life is going well too! Have some virtual champagne! I'm getting a tittle lipsy.... oops.

Sure why not Dixieland. I'm up for it. Name that CD!

O.k., I brought two rap CDs to your party here, one is Snoop Dog and the other is Eminem, so this party can be kicking-it old school and new school. I also, brought a veggie tray and some veggie spring rolls (where's the oven, oh, I see it's over there). Where's that champagne! Here's my glass!

Opps, I forgot to sign my name (I hate when I do that).
New School Jimbo
P.S. Where's Yolanda, she should be here too!

Welcome Anonymous. Soon as the Dixieland CD finishes we'll have some Eminem! Here's your champagne! ENJOY!

HOLLY HAPPY DAYS!!!!

Ah, Yolanda is in Australia. I don't know what the time difference is, but she may actually be asleep. I'm hoping she'll stop in for dip and champagne. Wonder what music she'll bring.

Thank you everyone who joined me at my virtual party! I appreciate the company. Best holiday wishes to all. I'm going off now to nurse my virtual hangover and listen to MUCH quieter music. :)

HEY! Were you guys partying on while I was sleeping? That's just not fair ;)

Anyway, I agree with you Cie. I know there are a lot of things 'not right' with the world at the moment and so much sadness, but we are allowed to celebrate when things go well in our lives, aren't we?

So here I am with streamers and a lovely Santa hat, ready to celebrate with you all. Don't tell me you're NOT all still here in party-mode because I know that you are! Let's get those glasses filled up, and I love the dip by the way - who put all those lovely snacks together?

Congrats on all the success again Cie!

Look forward to partying on with you all until the wee hours of the morning! YAY!!!!!

See Ya for now, I've gotta check out my CD rack, see what else we can pop on!

Yolanda... :)

Yea, Yolanda made it to the party! Hey, I am always ready for a good party, in fact a bunch of us here are going out to celebrate "Christmas Eve's Eve" tonight.

Yolanda, I think there is like a 12 hour time difference between where you live and I live, so we'll be partying for the same occasions, but 12 hours apart, ha, ha!

That's a good one Jim! With those 12 hours apart, we will either be celebrating one after the other, OR we could just keep on celebrating and celebrating until there's no more celebrating to be had! ;)

HAVE A GREAT X-MAS, and I'm glad I finally made it to the party!

See Ya,
Yolanda... :)
